The Terrible Evil

This evil is like a helmet that presses me, like a rope that hangs me, thorns that hurt me, its eyes are burning coal that burn my mouth.

It is a sword of two edges, which crosses my heart, it is as a harmful virus that hurts the marrow of my bones, it affects me, debilitates me, takes the will from me, breaks the bones of my legs, prevents me from walking; and if perhaps I wanted to crawl, it would show me that there is dirty water and is not possible to pass.
Death is an illusion and Life is disappointment, a way of perdition, and the flesh of the body rots. This evil is worse than any curse. Who is this terrible evil? Depression

Who is this terrible evil? Depression

This evil is like a helmet that presses me, like a rope that hangs me, thorns that hurt me, its eyes are burning coal that burn my mouth.
It is a sword of two edges, which crosses my heart, it is as a harmful virus that hurts the marrow of my bones, it affects me, debilitates me, takes my will, breaks the bones of my legs, prevents me from walking; and even if I wanted to crawl, it would show me that there is a lot of dirty water and is not possible to pass.
Death is an illusion and Life is disappointment, a way of perdition, and the flesh of the body rots. This evil is worse than any curse.
Who is this terrible evil? Depression.

To represent the perversions of the human mind is not something simple; but the purpose of this work is to warn that these monstrosities are even uglier and frightful if they become a reality. Every individual is exposed and nobody can say that he is free from these diseases unless he takes the necessary measures to preserve the inner peace. And this is only reached by cultivating Love and Faith in what is good, in the truth and mainly to have fear of God. Which means that, when we move away from His Presence, we expose ourselves to fall down to the eternal abysses of darkness where evil takes root with all his cruel expressions of hate, frightfulness and terror. This work -of representing the diseases of the soul- has as purpose, to point out evil, who, unfortunately is a real being that in the majority of the occasions does not show that ugliness but dresses himself of hypocrisy; but if we could truly see evil, we would realize how near he really is. The objective of evil is to bring suffering, misery; and his main aspiration is death. He leads to destruction, begets corruption, while deceit and confusion are his arms and strategy. Let's move away from evil, let's look for a true and worthy reality, to the service of God, of our fellow beings, of the world and of the universe.
